Kavita comes from a background in Human Resource Management, most recently gained in the Aerospace Industry. Her knowledge of business and people management has been instrumental in the development of the concept of boutique dentistry at Sparkle.
Through her drive and determination, Sparkle has attained the Investor in People standard and the British Dental Associations Good Practice Award.
"Its been a great journey learning about the dental industry and now due to the knowledge I have gained over the years, patients often mistake me for the dentist! I am looking forward to my new role as BDA Good Practice Regional Consultant where I will be visiting other dental practices to help them achieve the high standards of good practice that we work to at Sparkle.
I have loved transforming the practice into an award winning practice and what you see today is a culmination of a lot of hard work and sheer determination to change the perception that patients have of the dreaded dental visit!
We are very fortunate in that Sparkle is in a residential area. Many of our patients live locally and I therefore get to know our lovely patients and their families very well. In fact, we always bump into someone we know outside the practice!
The team I manage at Sparkle are a group of dedicated and caring people who love what they do…which makes my life relatively easy! Behind the scenes we work to checklists and are fastidious when it comes to quality control in everything we do. We all make every effort to make sure that everything is just right, so that our patients can receive the best care possible.
So what is it like working for my sister? I must say we like the dynamic duo, we both are passionate about what we do, we both cross our `t’s and dot are `i’s and we both want the very best for our patients. So it works very well…Sunita does everything she can for patients in terms of their clinical and emotional care within the treatment room whilst I make sure that everything else is taken care of.
Outside of work, I enjoy reading, theatre, travelling and walking holidays. I have a real love of elephants and I hope to do some voluntary work at an elephant orphanage in Sri Lanka in the very near future!".
