Inman aligner treatment is available at your Hounslow dentist – Are you suitable for treatment?

November 30th, 2011

The Inman aligner is a revolutionary new type of brace. Rather than the traditional mouthful  of metal sorely remembered from our school days, the Inman aligner is relatively small, uses very little metal and as such is all but invisible. However, many people believe the Inman aligner and similar fashionable braces and retainers, such as Invisalign, are too good to be true and assume they will be very expensive. This is not the case.

The Inman aligner, available from your Hounslow dentist, can be widely used by most people who need braces. However, certain issues such as extreme misalignment or crowding may require a set of more conventional braces, but most people find that they are perfectly compatible with the Inman aligner.

For those of us who are looking to alter their bite, create space between crowded teeth, or simply create a more attractive smile, the Inman aligner is a great brace system, working both quickly and effectively.

Compared to the Inman aligner, traditional braces take a greater length of time for completion and are much more noticeable. Using a lingual coil system, as well as a labial bar, the Inman Aligner applies low pressure on the teeth you wish to reposition. These two parts of the device work in tandem to apply varying pressure to the teeth and gently squeeze them into position.

The Inman aligner is designed for those of us who have always longed for a slightly different smile. Whether your teeth are overcrowded or you have an uneven smile, the Inman aligner is a cost effective way of giving you the smile you have always wanted.

Fix front teeth crowding in a few weeks

March 4th, 2011

Not everyone needs major orthodontic work to smarten up their smile – and now there is a real alternative to lengthy treatment with fixed braces.

Having braces and orthodontic work can be expensive, time-consuming and uncomfortable. Yet braces aren’t always necessary to make a few cosmetic changes to crooked front teeth. Now there are products like the Inman Aligner, able to provide a real alternative to lengthy orthodontics.

How much of your smile do people really see? Unless you have an especially cheesy grin, it’s only going to be the front teeth. So if they’re crooked but the rest of your mouth is fine, or has only minor problems that don’t require fixing, the best thing to do is use an easy, comfortable and, most importantly, fast-acting product that only acts on the front teeth.

The Inman Aligners can be removed, like retainers, and uses thin metal brackets, springs and coils to gently but firmly move front teeth into a great smiling position. You only ever have one appliance, so it’s cheaper than long-term braces that need to be replaced and there are no annoying orthodontist appointments to schedule month after month. Best of all, your front teeth can be moved into position in a matter of weeks, not months, with most treatments complete after 6 to 16 weeks.

Sounds too good to be true, doesn’t it? Of course, there are a few drawbacks, as with any medical procedure. Unlike other new orthodontic developments, the Inman Aligners are not invisible during the treatment, though they certainly are more discreet that old-fashioned braces. You might feel some discomfort after the appliance if first fitted, but in most people this settles down after a few days. The biggest problem is that this treatment isn’t suitable for everyone; if you have serious over-crowding, under or over bite problems or large gaps throughout your mouth, then the Inman Aligner just won’t be tough enough to tackle the work that needs to be done.

Patients have to be pretty motivated if they’re going to use Inman Aligners, as a lot of the success (and the speed of the treatment) depends on the patient following instructions. You can obviously take out the appliance for eating, brushing your teeth and for social occasions. But if you become tempted to take out the Aligner too often, then it won’t be able to do its job properly, and the treatment will last a lot longer than planned. So if your teen is pestering for you to get their teeth fixed, make sure they understand how much of the success of the treatment is down to their commitment!

Men Drive Cosmetic Trends

July 6th, 2009

According to the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD), it appears that more and more men are opting for cosmetic dental treatment. Men used to account for 28 per cent of all veneers, but now account for nearly a third of all procedures, according to an audit of cosmetic dental work undertaken by the BACD.

Similarly, men now account for 25 per cent of all orthodontic procedures as compared with 20 per cent previously.

Women are still the key spenders on cosmetic dentistry, accounting for 61 per cent of all procedures and still account for the majority of whitening procedures.

Dr Sunita Verma from Sparkle Dental Boutique, Ealing says, `The results show that men have become more accepting of having cosmetic dental treatments. We certainly have seen this trend at Sparkle with many men having cosmetic dental treatment to enhance career prospects whilst others are just opting for such procedures to give them the confidence to look and feel good.’

Sunita goes on to say, `With the advent of new procedures such as the Inman Aligner, which we recently introduced at Sparkle, we have seen a growing number of adults wanting to correct uneven teeth with the help of this revolutionary removable appliance. Some may have worn braces when they were younger but their teeth have moved out of alignment whereas others can now see the benefit of the aligner in correcting their teeth within a space of weeks.’

The top five dental procedures for 2007:

  • White fillings

  • Crowns – Inlays – Onlays

  • Veneers

  • White fillings

  • Teeth whitening

No Need to Look Like Ugly Betty!

September 4th, 2008

The invisible brace which promises the perfect smile in a month!

If your front teeth are crooked, crowded or rotated but you don’t want to look like Ugly Betty having them sorted out, then a revolutionary new procedure may be the answer.

At Sparkle Dental Boutique, Kew voted London’s Best Practice, patients can now benefit from the Inman Aligner, a brace which can straighten teeth in just a month, at a fraction of the cost of traditional braces. Traditional braces can cost up to £4,000 whereas Inman Aligners start from £1,500.

The great news is that the Inman Aligner is barely visible, apart from a single clear wire, and it can easily be slipped in and out of the mouth, allowing you to go brace-free for meals and important occasions.

While a standard brace can take more than two years to create the perfect smile, the new spring-loaded device takes between four and 16 weeks to nudge teeth back where they belong.

Dr Sunita Verma, Principal says “We are one of the first practices in West London to be certified to offer this fantastic procedure. The Inman Aligner is a versatile removable appliance which can cut both treatment times and cost for patients with mild to moderate crowding of their front teeth. It’s a fantastic procedure which adds to the portfolio of services that we provide here at Sparkle Dental Boutique, which includes general dentistry, porcelain veneers, white fillings, teeth whitening, crowns, bridges and cosmetic dentures”.

Straighten Your Teeth in a Few Weeks

July 21st, 2008

The dream of healthy teeth and a perfect smile is becoming a reality to more and more people every day.  As time goes by, your teeth tend to shift, sometimes causing your front top and bottom teeth to become crooked, overlapping or rotated.

The Inman Aligner `squeezes’ teeth into alignment

At Sparkle Dental Boutique, Acton we can now straighten your upper and lower front teeth in a matter of weeks! As certified Inman Aligner dentists (see www.inmanaligner.com), we can now improve your dental health and give your self esteem a boost through Inman Aligners.

Dr Sunita Verma, Principal says “The Inman Aligner is a versatile removable appliance that works by applying gentle pressure to the teeth that need to be moved to an ideal position. This gentle process is provided by the spring action of the appliance which `squeeze’ the teeth together, pushing and pulling them into alignment. Once your teeth are corrected, the aligner works like a retainer and holds them in place.” Advantages over other orthodontic systems:

  • Allows you to achieve great results using just one appliance.
  • Can give you a wonderful smile with less hassle and expense in a shorter period of time.
  • Can be removed and inserted as easily as a retainer.
  • Its very thin (0.3mm) and invisible.
