This week’s Sparkling Smiles

Case 1

This lovely patient was full of anticipation for his wedding but self-conscious about his smile. We fitted four veneers, just in time for his big day and now he can smile with pride for his wedding photos.

Case 2

We created a beautiful smile with a two-unit bridge and composite fillings. In the words of the patient: “This is the best thing I have spent my money on… apart from my wedding.”

Sparkle’s Weekly Smile Showcase – 10th June 2011

This week’s Sparkling Smiles

Case1

A patient from Chicago, who originally had some dubious dentistry in India had porcelain veneers placed on his upper teeth. The result was a less gummy smile with beautiful aesthetics.

Case 2

A 9 year patient was punched in the face breaking both his nose and his upper front tooth. Using composite bonding, Sunita managed to replicate the tooth…so its as good as new!

Case 3

Its not uncommon for children to fall and break a front tooth. A thirteen year old girl did just that. Thirty minutes later the tooth was back to normal using composite bonding.

Case 4

The results of smoking can play havoc with your teeth and gums. This patient had heavily stained and discoloured teeth. Sessions with our hygienist followed by cosmetic dentistry using teeth whitening and porcelain veneers.

Wolverine

April 29th, 2009

The new instalment in the X-men series, Wolverine is out this week!

Wolverine and his arch enemy Sabretooth both live a mutant life. With mutant powers, one of which slows their aging, they appear a lot younger than they are. Although, we may not be blessed with such mutant powers, the power of a healthy, beautiful smile can give you the confidence of any superhero!

Sunita Verma, Principal at Sparkle Dental Boutique, Hanwell says `We often see patients here who have wolverine like fang teeth. The great news is that with the new technologies and techniques that are available today, we can  correct the appearance of fang like teeth using orthodontics/braces or cosmetic dentistry or a combination of both.

Orthodontics involves the use of fixed or a removable braces to bring the teeth into the correct alignment.

For those considering a cosmetic solution, fang like teeth can be straightened by using porcelain veneers. This procedure is often called `instant orthodontics’ as the teeth are corrected within two or three visits over a few weeks.”

Children Walking Tall

Sparkle Dental Boutique, Ealing is proud to be supporting Children Walking Tall (www.childrenwalkingtall.com).

Founded in 2004, Children Walking Tall is a registered UK charity dedicated to helping slum and street children in India. From their base in Goa, they provide food, shelter, medical care and education for some of the poorest children in India. In a safe, playful environment, they receive a fun and creative education, and also have plenty of time to do what children the world over should do, which is PLAY!

Children Walking Tall was established to give these children a springboard out of poverty. It aims to give the children something most have never had before: a childhood worth remembering.

Kavita Verma, Boutique Manager of Sparkle Dental Boutique says “As a practice we’ve always been involved in giving something back to the community whether it be running for Cancer Research, sponsored walks or volunteering in India by painting classrooms and teaching english.

We wanted to be involved in a charity, which is making a huge difference to the lives of some of the most poorest in the world and a charity where almost all the money is going directly to those who need it most. We are planning many fund raising events in 2009 which should make for a fun, action packed year!”
