Meet The Sparkle Boutique Manager Near Brentford: Kavita Verma

Meet our amazing practice manager, Kavita Verma, who has extensive experience in human resources. Her management has guided Sparkle Dental Boutique to great success, with the practice being awarded the British Dental Association’s Good Practice Award and the Investor in People standard.

Kavita is Sunita’s sister and says that working with her sibling is great, especially since they have different roles within the practice. Sunita takes care of the patient’s clinical needs and promotes good oral health, while Kavita oversees customer service and makes sure that each patient’s experience is enjoyable and stress-free.

About Kavita

Kavita has worked in human resources for several years. She most recently spent time in the aerospace industry and her experience, expertise and managerial skills have proven instrumental in the success of the boutique. She says that switching her attention to the dental industry has been exciting and that she has learned a great deal—so much so that many people often mistake her for a dentist!

During her time at Sparkle Dental Boutique near Brentford, her highlight has been getting to know the patients and working with a great team of dentists, nurses and hygienists. The dental team works hard to ensure patients receive the highest standards of care and customer service, and the practice also complies with rigorous policies and standards set by governing bodies.

Kavita is sociable, warm and friendly, and she is always happy to stop and chat to patients, many of whom live locally.

Outside of work

Away from the practice, Kavita has a range of interests and hobbies. She is an animal lover and has a particular fondness for elephants. One day she hopes to help out at an elephant orphanage in Sri Lanka. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, travelling and walking.

Patients Near Brentford Learn All About Our Charity Efforts At Sparkle Dental Boutique

The season of goodwill is once again upon us. Christmas is a time for both giving and receiving – and the former can often be more rewarding than the latter. At Sparkle Dental Boutique near Brentford, we’ve had some great experiences getting involved in charitable causes.

Charity begins at home

Our charity work in London began in 2008, when Sunita and Kavita Verma completed a training course allowing them to volunteer for the charity Voluntary Reading Help. They now regularly work at a school in nearby Hanwell, helping a group of three children to improve their reading ability and gain confidence. We’ve since continued to focus on young people in West London, and in 2010 Sparkle Dental Boutique gave £3,000 to Hounslow Youth Counselling Service. This organisation provides counselling to anybody aged 11 to 25 in the community, offering a caring environment for the confidential discussion of problems. That same year, we gave £1,000 to the Seema Sharma Foundation, a charity set up to provide support to underprivileged communities in both India and East London.

From London to India

Our donation to the Seema Sharma Foundation was a great way to simultaneously give support to communities close to home and also overseas. India has been a particular focus of much of our charity work. In 2009, members of the Sparkle team did a sponsored 18-mile walk for children living in slums in Goa, and Kavita even visited the slum for three weeks to help out. We’ve also given £2,000 to be used for a project harvesting rain in Bangalore, providing villagers with the means to safely gather rainwater. Meanwhile, Sunita and Kavita, not content with their work in Hanwell, visited Lallsott in 2007. In this tiny village, they painted classrooms, read with children and taught English.

These ventures have been deeply rewarding – it’s wonderful to know that our time and money are being spent on projects that really matter. And everybody at Sparkle loves getting news about Naipoki, the adorable baby elephant we adopted through The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust.

The story of Naipoki

Naipoki is an orphaned African elephant in Kenya that the team at Sparkle Dental Boutique has adopted. Sparkle owner, Dr Sunita Verma and her sister and business manager Kavita, love elephants and have visited elephants in the wild in Thailand, Kenya, South Africa and more recently, in Sri Lanka. Their hearts went out to little Naipoki, when they read her story.

Naipoki is a headstrong little elephant who has escaped twice from her herd, only to be found trapped inside a well. She now no longer wanders off but can be found happily walking around the Nairobi Nursery.

“Our love of elephants has driven us to foster a four month old baby elephant Naipoki, who was orphaned when just 3 months old, and rescued from a well. Naipoki means “something painted” in the Maa language. Naipoki is unique in that she oozes intelligence and charm, and is adored by all the other baby elephants and the keepers.” ~Sparkle
