Asian Women of Achievement Awards 2009

Professional of the Year

Dr Sunita Verma has scooped the title, Professional of the Year, at the Asian Women of Achievement Awards 2009.

Sunita was presented her award by Cherie Blair, in the presence of Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall at the 10th Asian Women of Achievement Awards.

The black-tie event was held at London's exclusive Hilton Hotel in Park Lane.

Amongst the celebrities were actress Meera Syal, Dragon's Den host James Caan, shadow minister for women Theresa May and Shami Chakrabarti, director of Liberty.

Dr Sunita Verma says: ‘I am extremely proud of my roots and of the great contribution that Asian women have and are making to the workplace. I am genuinely delighted to bring Asian women in dentistry to the forefront, as I love the profession that I work in.”
